think Bin Laden is dead? Really, the guy's kidneys have to have had give out by now. Doesn't have to be a political thread, just about him, does anyone really think he's still alive?

nope I believe he is alive and well hiding away probably waiting patiently to strike again. He'll probably come out in 2011 since he knows we are pulling out then.

We will have troops in Afghanistan for at least the next decade...no way around it.

I'm about 99.9% sure he's dead, he has to be and probably has been for years. He was in way too bad of shape to be alive, on several dialysis machines and if he had kidney failure..he wouldn't last long on machines in dirty caves. They just recently said they haven't had any intelligence on him in several years, we've probably been chasing no one for awhile.

If he's alive, he's 1) Probably not in any shape to be giving any orders and 2) Not even in Afghan. I don't know why there's this consensus that these guys are stupid enough to hang around there, they are spread out over the Middle East and world. He just claimed responsibility for it, the "mastermind" is the one being tried in New York. We'll always be over there and the 50 million dollars on his head is going to keep him in hiding if he were to be alive. I used to support the war over there, but I don't get it now, the "war on terrorism" is a joke. They are spread out and most aren't even in Afghan anymore, that mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was found where? Pakistan. The hijackers were Saudi's and was planned in Germany, makes no sense.

But as for him, there's no way that he's alive and really nothing to support it.

Huh? I just think they guy is dead, even if he were to be caught, the war wouldn't end. How am I supporting him? Can you not read, I'm not even for the war and definitely not for the 30,000 troops he's sending. Think a little before you post.

Why would it be more difficult now for bin Laden to be alive than it was in 2003 as far as his kidneys go? There are some parts of medical personnel that work with th Taliban over there and have probably given them dialysis equipment and other supplies.

Pakistan not fully cooperating is our biggest issue now. I do believe he got across the border and that they have always had encampments probably in the mountains of Pakistan as well. It would not surprise me if that is his current location.

As for the mastermind, Mohammed may have planned the attackes, but I do believe that bin Laden funded everything that led up to it.
